Where do you operate?

Treble Twenty Taxis is based in Brentwood, our main operating area is Brentwood, Shenfield and Hutton in Essex, however, we will collect or take you to anywhere in the country provided the journey is economically viable. Because we operate on a 24 hour 365 day basis time or distance is no object to us.

How do I make a booking?

You can make your booking in several ways. You can book your taxi by calling our 24 hour call centre on our easy to remember number (01277) 20 20 20. Alternatively you can book on line using our free internet system or you can call into our office in person to book your taxi.
Also because we are licensed Hackney Carriage Vehicles and provided you are in the Brentwood Borough you can hail down one of our taxis if the roof light is on, this means it is available to hire, just like the black cabs in London.

How do I pay my fare?

At Treble Twenty we accept all major credit and debit cards, alternatively you can pay in cash, or you can always set up an account with us and pay for any of your journeys either on a weekly or monthly basis, we have a variety of account types to cater for different requirements. All our drivers carry receipt pads in the vehicles.

Are you a licensed Private Hire Operator?

Yes, we are a fully licensed operator by Brentwood Borough Council (Licence number: PH004). We also have a Public Service Vehicle Operator’s Licence with the Department of Transport. (Licence number PF0001964).

Are your drivers licensed?

Yes, all our drivers are licensed by the Brentwood Borough Council Carriage Office. This licensing process involves an enhanced criminal records check being carried out by the Criminal Records Bureau, a medical examination, in addition all drivers are required to pass a local ‘knowledge test’.

Will a Treble Twenty driver have any other qualifications?

Treble Twenty is now only the third Taxi Company in the South East to sponsor their drivers through the newly introduced NVQ in Taxi Driving. This course assesses the driver’s performance and levels of knowledge on a variety of issues from good customer service to correct protocol when dealing with members of the public who may have special needs.

How else do you vet your drivers?

Treble Twenty prides itself not only on our own reputation, but that of the Taxi industry as a whole. To this end, we interview all our drivers on an individual basis and devote time and resources to making sure they know how to deliver high quality customer service. This applies equally to the rest of the team, such as our bookings administrators.

Do you take pets?

Yes, we will carry most pets. If you wish to travel with a pet, please always advise us at the time of booking to ensure we send an appropriate vehicle.
